Esoteric/One-Off Issue Solutions
This is primarily a list of some more esoteric fixes gathered by Helpdesk support personnel, primarily for more rare issues that may only affect the occasional unit or subset of units on the grid. These fixes are based on what evidence has been gathered at the time of writing, and may need more involvement than the steps listed here in the future should something in the general NS ecosystem change.
This error indicates that the loaded animation notecard is missing an animation that NanAO is trying to play. This could be caused by having a section defined in the notecard with no animation listed, but the most common culprit for this is that there is no animation or no section defined for a typing animation and the unit in question has "Show redirected chat typing" enabled in their viewer. This can be resolved by either disabling that viewer option, or by adding a typing animation to your AO notecard.
Run the command @instructor anchor 86 to reanchor the instructor text on your HUD to its default prim.
This can be from one of two causes:
If you are early in the Convergence process where it is still giving you the items, make sure you accept ALL of the items in question, even the skins that do not match your gender. Convergence will not continue until you accept every item.
-or-
If you are at the point in Convergence where it is attaching the ARES HUD and gets stuck there, run the command @security audit followed by the command @device dock authorized to allow the Convergence platform to begin your configuration.
Reset scripts in your HUD. Wait for the reset to finish and for ARES to restart without errors. If it seems to boot up properly without errors, once it's finished the startup process, run the @input purge command to clear out any message buildup that it may have in the input engine. (It's possible this command may also get caught in the buildup, if it does just chat a few times until it clears through to this command and it will purge the rest)
NanAO - "Could not find animation -4981" error
This error indicates that the loaded animation notecard is missing an animation that NanAO is trying to play.
