1. Pay box (in L$ or some placeholder currency).
2. Obtain ownership of unit for a short period of time.
3. Unit returns to original owner at end of rental period.

There are a few ways of implementing this (e.g. via a domain server), but an official NS implementation would use an app on the unit to carry out changes, and thus be much cheaper to set up.
